The IMBQ-HP-200 is IMAGO's heavy-lift tracking pedestal, supporting a rated payload of 200 kg (250 kg maximum at reduced dynamics). It is designed for large-aperture multi-sensor systems requiring high pointing accuracy and exceptional structural rigidity over a 20+ year service life.
Preloaded crossed roller bearings, dual inductive encoders on both axes, and a torsionally stiff aluminium chassis combine to deliver 16-arcsecond standard pointing accuracy — upgradeable to 10 arcseconds optionally. An optional 23-bit inductive encoder provides 0.13-arcsecond resolution for the most demanding measurement applications. The tracking camera is centred over the azimuth and elevation axes to eliminate parallax errors.

Rugged Reliability
The IMBQ-HP-200 is rated IP65 and constructed from precision-machined aluminium with a chromate conversion coating and hardened epoxy paint. Silicone o-rings provide robust sealing throughout the chassis. Stainless steel hardware delivers a virtually maintenance-free service life in outdoor environments. No regular maintenance is required other than cleaning.
An azimuth slip ring is included to simplify setup alignment and eliminate the risk of cable wrap. The pedestal includes a precision digital level sensor (6-arcsecond accuracy) for rapid single-point calibration and startup. Optional INS integration is available for mobile or shipboard applications.
